FAQs

  • My pricing for hair a/o makeup will vary depending on the job. For most personal clients, my rate for just hair or makeup starts at $125. For hair and makeup, my rate starts at $200. This pricing does not include travel or any adjustments made for the nature of the job. For bridal and commercial, prices very widely depending on a lot of factors. Refer to Bridal FAQs for specific questions about bridal hair and makeup. Please contact me to get a custom quote!

Please note that these prices are subject to change at any time.

  • All services include a thorough consultation process before and during your appointment to ensure the highest quality experience!

Makeup services include lashes (strip, clusters, a/o individuals* NOTE: these are not the same as lash extensions). There will also be a choice of traditional or airbrush foundation, included in the pricing. If the service does not include touchups by me, I will leave behind a lip color sample so your look will last and look amazing!

Hair services can include a few hair pins to ensure that the style can be adjusted at a moment’s notice (you will likely not need them but I include them as a courtesy!). Depending on the style and event, some hairstyles may include donuts (bulky netting to add volume). At this time, I do not offer extensions for rent or purchase but I can direct you to where to purchase them yourself and how to have them prepared for your appointment!

  • I am located in Pittsburgh (East End area). Yes I travel! I may enjoy it a little too much :) I currently do not have a studio location, but will sometimes take clients out of a small studio set-up in my home. This is rare, as I prefer to come to you! I include a complimentary radius of 10 miles from zip code 15218 for every job. If the travel exceeds this, I will charge a travel fee starting at $20 and adding on $1/mile from 10 miles on to the location. If the distance exceeds an hour of travel, there will be custom travel rate for the job. I can travel long distances, and we can discuss lodging at the time of booking! Also note that any parking fees will be added to your invoice.

  • This is definitely an important question.

I have been trained by a wide range of artists, and I pride myself on being an inclusive business. I feel very comfortable working on all skin tones and hair types. It's important to me that my clients of all kinds feel equally beautiful leaving my chair!

If I am working with a person of color, they are more than welcome to bring their own foundation and face products. I encourage you to do what feels best for you.

There are certain things I specialize in and other things I will recommend that the client sources from a different artist. At this time, I do not offer braiding, wig installations, or loc services. I can direct you to other amazing artists in the community who specialize in these services.

If you have any questions or concerns about booking with me, feel free to email me!

  • Absolutely!

I have worked with all manner of people in the LGBTQ+ community and it’s a pleasure to offer them amazing service :)

I see hair and makeup as inherently non-gendered and cater my looks to each client and their needs and desires.

I have worked with queer people, doing fun colorful looks and super-natural skin looks. I have worked with trans women, teaching them how to express themselves through the art of makeup.

Each service is designed to make you happy! We can talk about your specific needs if you’d like to email me.

Some of the hair brands I love and carry are Kenra, Schwarzkopf OSIS+, Aquage, Alterna Haircare, Big Sexy, KMS Hair, Bed Head by TIGI, Goldwell, and Maria Nila.

  • This is a common question and every artist has a different answer!

Traditional foundation is a mix of pigments, emulsifiers, hydrating ingredients, and preservatives. This allows for there to be such a diversity in products on the market. Have you ever noticed how different all foundations play with your one skin type? That’s because they’re all made to cater to a wide range of people.

Airbrush foundation is about the same mixture, in a much thinner consistency. It’s made the dry down much faster and provide a thinner texture on the skin. The action of the foundation being fed through the airbrush gun then makes the product attach to the very surface of the skin vs. blend into the skin itself.

This difference comes into play when I’m working with clients. I use a mix of silicone and water-based foundations and concealers. Silicone acts as a smoother and can help combat oil production. Water bases are great for clients who want a more natural skin finish and lighter coverage.

My philosophy is that I cater the product choices towards the job and the end goal. I create my kit to be versatile and able to mix with everything so I have no limitations in how I complete the job. I have no preferences except when the client has specific needs for the finished look and for their skin type. As a licensed and trained esthetician, I really let the skin do the directing on what I will use on each client. Any questions, feel free to email me!

  • Once you’ve reached out to me via my Contact page and filled out the form, I will reach out within 1-2 business days. I will email you and offer you my estimate for the inquiry. If need be, I will ask for clarification on certain aspects of the inquiry to get you a more accurate estimate!

Once the estimate has been agreed to, I will send an invoice for a 50% non-refundable retainer that will go towards the balance of the service. I will also send out a form for you to complete that will go over allergies, hair type, skin type, etc. This helps me to prepare to offer you the best experience! If both of these items are not completed (form sent and retainer paid), the appointment is not considered booked in my calendar.

I will confirm with you 48 hours prior to the appointment. This will include the final payment of the invoice. If the payment is not made at this time, there is a 25% fee of the remaining balance added to keep the appointment in good standing.

On the day of, I will send an email when I leave with my ETA. Expect me to be there 10-20 mins earlier to set-up! If you are more than 15 mins late from the set start time for the appointment, there will be a late-start fee of $25 applied to keep the appointment. If that time extends past 20 mins, the appointment will be considered cancelled and all monies paid are non-refundable.

Once the appointment is completed and everyone is happy, I will leave behind any touchup products for the services and pack out. You will receive an email afterwards asking for feedback and the opportunity to leave a review!

  • If you need to cancel, please send me an email. If the cancellation is more than 5 days prior to the appointment, there will be no cancellation fee. If it’s done between 5 days and 48 hours, a 25% fee of the remaining total will be due. If it’s done less than 48 hours of the appointment, 50% of the remaining invoice is to be paid.

If you need to reschedule, you’ll have a 24 hour window from the time of cancellation to do so and the retainer will transfer one time. If the window is missed, then a new retainer will be charged.

If you are a No-Show, then 100% of the remaining balance will still be due. To book any future appointments, all fees must be paid upfront to secure your booking.

If I have to cancel the appointment, I will do my best to find a replacement. If I can’t secure one, then all money that can be refunded will be sent back to you (i.e. final payments).
